Junior Ranger projects assist First Nations primary and secondary school-aged children and youth to engage with their schooling through a combination of classroom and on-Country learning. Activities are linked to the curriculum and can support completion of vocational training.
The Government has allocated $60 million over 4 years to fund projects in up to 60 new locations across Australia. These projects will aim to improve education engagement, retention and attainment through sharing and passing on First Nations knowledge, customary practice and care for Country.
